An injury in the frontal lobe, has left Lee-Young Oh (Jang Hyuk) unable to experience any kind of feelings, since his childhood. However, his lack of empathy does not prevent him from becoming a brilliant neurosurgeon. When his name is involved in the unexplained deaths of a couple of patients, the newly assigned detective Gye Jin-Sung (So-Dam Park) sets her mind to prove his guilt. Nevertheless, as new facts come to light, the two of them team up in order to find the real culprit and prove a conspiracy that takes place behind the hospital's closed doors.
"In this world, there are only two types of people. Those who have failed to hide their true selves ... and those who haven't failed yet." Lee-Young Oh
Jang Hyuk, one of the best korean actors, portrays Lee-Young's personality perfectly. So-Dam Park, also a good actress (best known from "Parasite"), gives a positive romantic vibe to Jin-Sung's character. It is very intriguing the fact that even behind Lee-Young's impairment there is more than we initially see. As a viewer, I lived every single moment of his struggle to experience even a slight emotional upheaval and when it finally happened it was more exciting than I anticipated. It was the scene where he felt tears in his eyes for the first time, that made me watch the series again and again.
In conclusion, it's a storyline which kept me hooked till the very end. For those who have already fallen in love with Kdramas, it is a very good opportunity to watch a high quality work in every aspect. Jang Hyuk at his best!!!
