"It's Okay to Not be Okay"

Updated: Jun 29, 2021

A very catchy title for an extraordinary drama! I watched the first episode with great hesitation but as soon as I completed the whole series I was mesmerized!! It's a masterpiece not similar to any other Kdrama I've watched.

How can I convey how extraordinary this story is?

Moon Gang Tae (Kim Soo-Hyun), is a young employee at a phsychiatric clinic who struggles to make a living and at the same time to take care of his older autistic brother Sang Tae (Oh Jeong-Se).He has no time for himself since he divides his days between his patients and Sang Tae.

Go Moon Young (Seo Ye-Ji), is a successful children's book writer. Her extremely selfish and antisocial behaviour keeps her distanced from everyone.

The character of the autistic brother is captivating and his possessiveness sets obstacles in his brother's efforts to find love. However, by being a great fan of Go Moon,he becomes the reason that these two opposite persons meet. From the moment Go Moon sets eyes on Moon Gang, she gets obsessed with him since he is the first person to remain untouched by her.

The encounter of these three individuals sets in motion a healing process for all of them and at the same time makes them realize that their lives had already crossed paths in their childhood years and nothing is as it seems.

I was already acquainted with Kim Soo-Hyun from "My Love from the Star" but it was here that I aknowledged how talented he is. Nevertheless, all three main actors were magnificent and gave their best for their roles to reach perfection.

Only by watching this drama, can one realize its value and its uniqueness among the vast world of series!!!
